2025 Spring Season Information

2025 Spring Season Information

Wakefield Youth Lacrosse Spring 2025 Player Registration is NOW OPEN!

The IM program is co-ed and open to (a) Kindergarten and (b) Grades 1 and 2 (combined). The goal of the program is to provide the players the best experience possible by focusing on developing a strong fundamental base supported by a competitive recreational game schedule. Our coaches work with players directly to teach the fundamentals of the game: throwing, catching, cradling, scooping, dodging, and shooting, in a fun and competitive environment

We focus on a small-field experience, typically 7 v. 7, to accelerate skill development and increase player participation. In addition to our instructional practices and IM games, in the past we have enhanced our IM season with opportunities to welcome teams from neighboring communities.

Important Season Information

The IM season consists of a weekly Friday evening (6:00 – 7:30pm) session followed by a Saturday afternoon (5:00 – 6:30pm) session. Kindergarten sessions tend to run shorter and closer to 1 hour. Players in the 1/2 grade program play at Mullen Field (Main Street side of the Gavin Middle School) each session while players in the K program typically play at Walton Field (North Avenue side of the Galvin Middle School) (schedule subject to change). The season concludes with a Jamboree followed by a cookout, typically early in the afternoon, at Landrigan Field on the final Saturday session.
